temple smash is live-studio sketch show at Temple University in Philadelphia. it is run entirely by students, and features completely original content. since getting involved in the winter of 2010, i have collaborated as a performer, writer, and director. temple smash has been a huge part of my time at temple university, shaping my professional aspirations, friendships, and personal growth.
twice a semester, over 60 students pull together, spend their own money, dedicate their own free time, to making this show happen. the university is now denying us studio space, jeopardizing the live studio format that characterizes smash.
if you believe in supporting students artistic endeavors, collaborative experiences, and original sketch comedy, please sign this and pass it along. if numbers are the only thing the university understands, then we’re hoping we have some good ones to throw back at them.
